Two weeks ago, the “circumcision season” in Transmara started again. Since then 10 more girls came to Tareto Maa and asked for help. This number of girls lies within the expectations of our team. So we still expect ca. 20 “new children” till the end of this year. This would mean a total of 90 children to be sheltered at Tareto Maa.
Good news about the school: The first classroom is completed. The second room and the registration processes for the new school are in time.
Bad news about the well: The big rains came before the well was completed (and before it was walled in). After 3 weeks of heavy rainfalls, parts of the construction collapsed now. So we have to wait until the dry season starts and have to repeat some of the works for the well.
