Yesterday, the Naitawang Riverside Acadamy was ceremonially opened. The start of the first two classes was celebrated by the new pupils and their parents as well as by representatives of the local authorities and traditional chiefs of our community.
The school was built by Tareto Maa in cooperation with the local community. So this was an important day for our project. The school is seated next to the Tareto Maa rescue center.
In the weeks of circumcision (Nov/Dec 2011), 25 more children came to Tareto Maa and asked for help. So we shelter a total of 95 children now in the rescue center.
